Less Work = More Business

The power of automation can transform your entrepreneurial journey at every stage from starting out to selling up.

Imagine doubling your business’s growth while working 20% less. Sounds pretty good, right?!

The McKinsey Global Institute has been conducting an ongoing research program on automation technologies and their potential effects. Their report “A future that works: Automation, employment, and productivity” highlights several key benefits to businesses – including fewer errors and improved productivity, output quality and speed. It’s not enough to do the same thing you’ve always done and expect the same results. Nowadays, if you’re not growing, you’re shrinking.

You see, the landscape of modern business is evolving, and those who fail to harness the potential of automation risk seriously falling behind their competition – purely by being beaten to the punch when it comes to delivering great service too slowly.

Sidebar: This is something I’m looking at personally in my own business, as we balance the high quality result of bespoke design (as unique as your business) with the powerful appeal of being quicker to launch in certain crowded markets.

We know only too well that, by not embracing automation, business owners could be locking themselves into a cycle of long work hours, missed opportunities, and stagnant growth. And at the end of the day, nobody started their business to give up their weekends!

Consider the possibilities

Automation is not merely a technical tool; it’s a strategic enabler that can revolutionise your business. Sound far-fetched? Imagine systems that could handle those boring daily repetitive tasks like responding the the same customer queries or attaching copies of your T&Cs to yet another email – freeing up your time to focus on your future plans, the high-level visionary stuff you’re known best for, or nurturing those critical client relationships. Automation doesn’t just streamline processes; it enhances precision and consistency (no more human error anyone?), reducing costly mistakes and the time it takes to correct them.

Picture this: your website instantly categorising and responding to a customer enquiry; before you know it, your CRM system has already memorised their details and added this opportunity to your sales pipeline – before notifying your sales team it’s time to make a call…

…and you didn’t have to lift a finger!

Case in point, one client of ours runs a National Compliance Scheme, keeping companies all over the country on the right side of packaging recycling regulations. When they approached us, they were managing ALL of their customers – and their individual regulatory returns – on excel spreadsheets and email attachments – a slow, laborious and pretty thankless task which was itself consuming a massive number of manual hours every month.

Applying our Strategy-first methodology, we sat down and went through every single spreadsheet, email template and regulation explanation in painful detail (!), before carefully crafting the perfect online solution (sitting safely behind their public website) to encompass all of the data required and digitise the old collection method of spreadsheets and email attachments, into a single, online, secure and automated delivery and collection system.

Automation isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a game-changer for business owners who want to grow their business and achieve more while working less. The evidence is clear: embracing automation can lead to exponential growth, increased efficiency, and your freedom to focus on strategic decision-making – or just the things you love to do!

As I discussed with a long-standing client of ours recently; in the wake of the pandemic, many people are happy with less in their lives but more time to live it.
