how much do domains cost?
This depends on two factors:
- which suffix you want (.co.uk, .com, etc)
- how long you want to register the domain for.
Some domain suffixes cost more than others, for example www.mycompany.com is cheaper than www.mycompany.uk.com. There are many suffixes to choose from too, such as .info, .biz, etc, which can further complicate the issue. You may be able to save money by registering your domain name for ten years rather than two or, in the case of .co.uk domains, two years is the minimum you can register. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
how long do domains last?
If you register a .co.uk domain name there is a minimum period of two years, all other domains are from one year upwards. When you register a domain with FAT promotions, we will contact you one month before the domain is due for renewal, giving you plenty of time to re-register and protect your domain.
will it be registered in my name?
All domains are registered in the clients name, with our details included as the technical support contact only.
does the price include email forwarding?
When we set up your domain, we will ask you for your existing email address (such as fred.smith@freeserve.co.uk), and we'll arrange for all email sent to yourchoice@yourdomain.co.uk to be automatically forwarded to that address.

can I point it to my existing website?
No problem! When we first register your domain, we will point it to your existing site if you have one, or to a holding page on our server if you don't. We'll then be happy to change this at a later date at no extra charge.
